Alex Bonacarti is a seasoned criminal trial attorney with over 25 years of experience. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from Manhattanville College and her Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School.

She began her career as a public defender at the Legal Aid Society in Brooklyn, representing hundreds of clients in both Family and Criminal Court. Alex was a founding staff attorney at New York County Defender Services, where she routinely conducted suppression hearings and brought numerous felony cases to verdict.

In 2019, she launched her own practice, representing clients in criminal cases across all five boroughs of New York City. Alex is a fierce advocate who defends her clients with both compassion and integrity.
